Laurel McDermott is a senior Human Capital leader with experiences in both the corporate and consulting world. Her passion for building engaged workforces led her to join the Legacy Center to help guide organizations toward greater cultural health and alignment.
Laurel brings a strong partnering mindset to her engagement with business leaders to support individual, team and organizational development across our client organizations. She has a deep commitment and appreciation for high-functioning teams and is skilled at working alongside employees, managers, and executives to help drive positive, values-driven transformation. Laurel brings to Legacy an experience developing mentoring programs, leadership summits, facilitating company training, overhauling outdated HR policies, helping facilitate departmental restructures, and partnering with the C-level executives to implement company-wide initiatives. She has also played a critical role in over a dozen M&A transactions.
In addition to being an experienced HR professional, Laurel is certified in Organizational Development, Leadership Development, PROSCI Change Management, Stakeholder Centered Coaching (a Marshall Goldsmith Certified Executive Coach) and Pragmatic Marketing (Levels I, II).
